Athanasia is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. She completed her
undergraduate degree at Miami University of Ohio and earned her Master’s in Mental Health
Counseling from Columbia University, Teachers College. Having extensive experience
supporting adults and students in both private and public mental health settings, Athanasia brings
a rich and diverse perspective to her work.
With a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental approach, Athanasia helps clients navigate
challenges related to anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, identity, and interpersonal
relationships. She blends psychodynamic and relational practices with Dialectical Behavioral
Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques, creating a safe space for exploration and growth.
To her, counseling is a delicate and committed process that involves honoring each client’s
experience and working together to expand self-awareness and connection.
